New spam filtering system - June 12
Radish Networks will be changing to a new spam filtering system on June 12. Affected systems include CPanel email, domain spam filtering, hosted Exchange, and custom SMTP services. We have thoroughly tested the new system and have found superior spam filtering capabilities, improved antivirus, and an easier to use quarantine system.
What are the new capabilities?
There will be substantial changes with reporting. Customers that currently use quarantine will receive a slightly different quarantine report. The new quarantine report provides reporting on viruses found and attachments blocked. You can also whitelist or blacklist a sender right from the quarantine report! Customers electing to use our new link lock service will have superior anti-malware and anti-phishing protection.
How will I be affected?
Our plan is for zero disruption with spam filtering services: Neither incoming email nor outgoing email will be delayed and no email will be bounced. There will be changes to reporting with regular quarantine reports. Link lock customers will see url’s rewritten. We are importing customer’s domain whitelists and blacklists to minimize disruption.
What do I do if there is a problem?
Notify us by sending an email to helpdesk@radishnetworks.com. Please be as descriptive as possible. We will be closely monitoring the new system throughout the first two weeks.
Will there be any changes to billing?
Our previous system was licensed per domain but our new system is licensed per user. We will contact affected organizations prior to changing any costs. We intend to slowly roll out the new pricing scheme for existing customers.
A LOT of email flows through our spam filtering service so we were able to obtain bulk pricing. Our initial target rate is $1 per user account per month. Link lock will be offered as an addon for an additional $1 per user account per month. Link lock must be licensed per customer: You cannot have some users with link lock and some without.
Spam filtering user accounts will be calculated on 85% of your unique From addresses. If your organization sends email from 10 addresses then your monthly cost will be $10 or $20 with the safe link add-on. Wherever possible we will automate these calculations.
Don’t forget about our mail archiving service. It can be an invaluable journal of all messages sent and received by your organization or a small read-only archive for your team members. It’s a flexible and fast system!
